There is a sacred space between the decision to use a donor and the moment your child arrives—we call it the 'Soon.' In this episode, I share a donor egg letter to child written during that season of intense waiting and high hope.

This letter isn't just about biology; it’s about the intentionality of motherhood. We explore how to speak to a child about their origins with pride and peace, long before they are in your arms. If you are struggling with the 'how' of your future child's story, let this progressive letter offer you a framework for a connection that goes deeper than DNA.

To my dearest child

I want to tell you about this time, right now, before you even get here.

I think it’s important for you to know I’m not just waiting around to be a mother.

I'm waiting specifically for YOU.

There have been years when my arms were empty,

and I’ll be honest with you—some of those days were longer than I can describe.

But the truth is, I have always known you belong in this home.

I spend so much of my time just holding a space in my life that already has your name on it.

In every breath, and in every quiet moment, I just think ... Soon.

I don’t know yet if you’ll have my stubbornness

or your own brand of magic.

But I know you are coming.

And I know that when I can finally look at you and say,

'There you are,' and welcome you to my world...

I’ll be ready for whoever you turn out to be.

Because even now, before we’ve even met,

the truth of us is already written.

I'm already yours and you're already mine.

I love you,

Your Mom
