Letter to My Child - My Promise

Embracing the lifelong journey of donor egg parenting starts with a commitment to honor your child’s unique story. In this episode, I share "My Promise," a letter that captures the transition from the "mission" of conception to the beautiful reality of being the mother I was always meant to be.

Practicing intentional donor egg parenting means recognizing that while your child’s story started with a different path, the rest of the pages belong entirely to them. In this episode, I share "My Promise"—a letter written to my child about the commitment to be their safest place to land and their loudest cheerleader as they find their own way and write their unique story.

The Emotional Evolution: This is part of an ongoing series of letters that trace our emotional evolution from the first days of donor searching to the moment we held our child. Each letter captures a specific milestone in the 'heart-work' of donor conception, offering a raw and progressive look at how we navigated the ultimate joy of becoming a family.

To my dearest little one,

You were the greatest choice of my life.

I promise to protect the spirit I recognized in you before I even saw your face—the one that is uniquely yours.

Whatever you dream, and wherever you go, I will be right here, just as I was always waiting for you.

I will spend the rest of my days being your loudest cheerer and your safest place to land.

I will be right beside you through the moments you succeed and the moments you stumble because you never have to be perfect to be exactly who you were meant to be.

I am just here to watch with a heart full of pride as you find your way and write the rest of YOUR story.

I love you,

Your Mom
